The Mudra Institute of Communications Ahmedabad Aptitude Test 2017

The Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad, conducts the MICA Aptitude Test (MICAT) every year for admission of students for post graduate studies in the various fields of media management and communications. Owing to some changes, the MICAT 2017 test will be held twice, i.e. MICAT I on December 11, 2016, and MICAT II on February 12, 2017. The entrance test will be held for admission into the Institute’s Postgraduate Diploma in Management - Communication (PGDM-C) programme.


Eligibility Criteria:

     ♦ Candidates must be graduates (must have compiled with the 10+2+3 system) from any recognized University.
     ♦ Candidates appearing in the final year of their qualifying programme can also apply.
     ♦ Candidates must have a valid CAT 2016, XAT or GMAT (2013 onward) score.


Application Procedure: Interested candidates must apply ONLINE.


Application Fee:

Candidates must pay a non-refundable fee of Rs. 1965/- either - online via the payment gateway on the official website OR offline by DD in favour of MICA, Ahmedabad.


Test Centers:

The entrance test for MICAT is held in a Computer Based Format across the following 14 cities: Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Jaipur, Jammu, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, and Mumbai.


Exam Pattern:

MICAT is designed to be a Computer Based test with objective as well as subjective questions. Topics - logical reasoning, analytical reasoning, verbal ability, general awareness and divergent thinking skills. MICAT will also include a Psychometric test. MICAT consists of 2 test booklets.

 (Negative Marking of 0.25 per wrong answer)
 Contains 3 sections with descriptive questions
 Part 2: Total of 2 Descriptive questions  


Selection Procedure:

     ♦ Stage I: The candidates must have a valid score card of CAT 2016, CAT 2017 or GMAT (2013 onwards).
     ♦ Stage II: The candidates must appear for MICAT 2017.
     ♦ Stage III: The candidates who have scored well in the entrance test will be shortlisted for the pre-admission processes i.e. GE and PI. After GE & PI, the Institute will declare the final result.
