Eligibility for the test: 

IFS 2016  Bachelor’s degree of a recognized university with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering

IFS 2016  A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years.


More about the exam:


IFS paper contains 6 sections in all having 1400 marks. The distribution of marks is given as below:

Paper I - General English: 300 Marks
Paper II - General Knowledge: 300 Marks
Paper III, IV, V & VI - Any two subjects to be selected from the list of optional subjects set out below. Each subject will have two papers. 200 Marks for each paper 


Medium of instruction: English 
Scoring scheme: all papers taken together consist of 1400 marks. 
Venue of the exam:  centers across India
