CDS – Combined Defense Services is one of the most popular examinations which gets conducted by Union Public Service Commission which is known as UPSC. The main purpose of conducting this examination is to select various candidates for the various posts in Indian Military Academy, Officers Training Academy, Naval Academy and Air Force Academy. Unmarried and eligible candidates are invited to apply for this. You can check out the eligibility criteria in order to fill the application form. Eligibility Criteria:

 

 Educational Qualification: IMA and Officer’s Training Academy – Candidate needs to have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university. 

Indian Naval Academy – Candidate must have done Engineering from a recognized university or institution. 

Air Force Academy – Candidate needs to have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university (Physics and Chemistry in 10+2) or BTech. 

Candidates who are appearing the final year, they can also apply for CDS Exam 2016.

 

 Age Limit: For Indian Maritime Academy (IMA) candidate’s (Unmarried Male) age should be between 18 and 22 years.
For Indian Naval Academy (INA) candidate’s (Unmarried Male) age should be between 18 and 22 years.
For Indian Air force Academy (IAA) candidate’s (Unmarried Male) age should be between 18 and 22 years.
For Officers Training Academy (SSC Course for Men) candidate’s (Unmarried/ Married Male) age should be between 18 and 22 years.
For Officers Training Academy candidate’s (Unmarried/ Widows/ Divorcees) age should be between 18 and 22 years.

 

 Application Fee: Interested and eligible can get the application form from the official site which is www.upsconline.nic.in. Candidates belong to General/ OBC category they need to pay Rs 200 and women/ SC and ST candidates do not need to pay any fee.
Payment can be done via net banking mode.

 

 NOTE: CDS Examinations get conducted twice a year. First exam gets conducted in the month of February and November and second exam in October and June respectively.

 

 Nationality: Candidate must either
a) India Citizen
b) Bhutan Citizen
c) Nepal Citizen
d) Tibetan refugee who had come in India before 1st January 1962 and must have permanent living prove.
